my gf and i are planning a may trip and should be there for about 8 days. is this going to be enough to see most of it? i don't think that we are going to be able to see EVERYTHING, but we would like to see as much as possible.

My very first time I went to WDW, in 2003, I was there for 5 days and we did a lot... we were 3 adults and 2 kids and we got to see all the shows, the fireworks, and the most popular rides... then in 2004, we had 7 days and redid all the same things and a few more... so I'm sure you'll see a lot of Disney... have fun, don't stress it and enjoy yourself. :thumbsup2

8 days is excellent! We had 8 for our honeymoon (no kids) so we were able to do a ton. However, you can always use more!

That is a good astart to see most at a leisurely pace with a down day in between. We start our vacations off at 8 but usually grow to 11 days. The down day is for the wife for shopping around the World. She gets the idea of what she wants and likes from all the parks and then in the middle of our stay we do the shopping day and make all our purchases and have them all shipped home. We do our lunch at DTD, Captain Jacks, go back in the evening and stroll around there and breaks up the vacation nicely. In an eight night stay you can see all the parks night time festivities without rushing or doing a commando trip. Even though we've been to WDW over 38 times, early days were of the 4-6 night trips, the 8-12 night trips are the best, we actually come home relaxed and not spent.

For two adult people? Yes!
We did 7 for our honeymoon in June-July and had time for 2 waterparks, DisneyQuest twice, Pleasure Island twice, the DVC presentation, Downtown Disney and a watermouse rental. You'll be fine!

We usually go for 9 days and we usually get to see everything we want, plus have time to relax at the pool and sleep in. Everyone I know always comes back from WDW complaining how tired they are...but not us! We make sure we get in plenty of relaxing time, and 8-10 days is the perfect way to do that and still see what you want.

8 days is plenty for a childless couple!

8 Days is my preferred length of stay for a solo trip - and that includes 2 days at Universal. I like to fly in on a Thursday evening (late) and stay till the following Friday (late), which gives me a whole weekend at WDW, plus a weekend afterward to decompress before returning to work.

I have to mention, however, that I almost always go to WDW during the off-seasons when it's less crowded. This is much easier for me as a childless person than for families, though.
