Is 7DMT worth all the hype?

Meh. I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes or so to ride it again. It was short, boring, and slow. Barnstormer with dwarves.

Barnstormer only has one hill climb. 7DMT has two climbs. So right away, its twice the fun. It also has FAR greater themeing on the ride and queue what with the whole mine thing....

Plus its way more comfortable, bigger ride, and has the swinging cars.

I'm not sure Barnstormer is a fair comparison. I'd put it somewhere between Barnstormer and BTMRR.

We have never ridden this, and I'm trying to determine how much I work this into my plans (pursuits, rest assured, I am planning to ride it and have worked it in, I'm just looking at total FP+ allocation here).

I You Tube'd it, and I'm thinking it's kinda like a Fantasyland BTMRR. :confused3 Is that accurate, and how do people feel about it?
I like it a lot.....Could it have been a lil longer, Sure but I still enjoy the ride, theming & Queue line...:confused3

It is worth the wait as much as any other ride and the queue is fun, too. We love it, but it is a bit boring during the ride if you're in the front section of the train. The last car is preferable, but anything 6+ will do. BTMRR is much too jerky, so I only ride it when my kids insist and with a FP or very short line.

It was cute. Once.

I would not bother if the wait was more than 15-20 minutes or I had a FP+ to burn.

I loved it! It's a very cute, well themed ride. If you have PhotoPass, you get a nice video of your car too. Definitely worth it.

It's definitely worth doing. Note: rock the seats side to side for maximum effect.

No. It's not worth the hype.

Remember, when ETWB opened it had 90 minute waits all the time. Now? 25 minutes. Under the Sea had 60 minute waits. Now? Walk on.

I suspect that 7DMT will be a Pirates/Haunted Mansion level wait once people get over the hype. So that's 60 minute waits at Easter/Christmas, and 45 minutes during most times of the year. It's just not as good as Splash, Space, Thunder, or Princess Meet and Greets.

But I'm just one person and I have been wrong before and will be again. Just read my signature.

It's a cute, well-themed, short family roller coaster that's quicker than it looks but very smooth. The restraint hurts like heck if you've got big legs.

Worth the hype? No. But it's not a bad ride if you're a) in the target audience and b) fit into it well.

Thanks for the replies - one FP it is.

How's Test Track? I'm thinking of switching my MK FP for that morning to the evening at Epcot instead. As a reference, at DLR we love Space, BTMRR, Splash, California Screamin, and in Paris we liked Aerosmith's Rock n' Roller.

Test track is a lot of fun too. One of my favorites.

7DMT has joined a fairly long list of MK rides I enjoy much more at night than during daylight hours.

there was a fair amount of negative feedback but we were pleasantly surprised at how good it is

We liked it and felt it was a good use of fp+ I would not wait in line for it though. It's a cute little ride not an amazing ride.

It's not nearly as exciting as BTMRR.

It's a very nicely themed, incredibly smooth, kiddie coaster.

This. My kids loved it 4 and 6.

I thought ...for the hype...meh. I would never wait in line an hour or even half hour for it and if I never go on it again, I'll be just fine.

The animatronics are consistent with Disney's new state of the art corner-cutting, but wildly inconsistent with what the original park rides provided in terms of quality and attention to detail.

We love it. We try to ride multiple times and use a FP when able, but find the lower wait times to be near park closing. Especially with EMHs.

Definitely a must see attraction. Aside from RD and FP+, a great time to ride it is during the hard ticket parties. We were in and out of the ride in 30 minutes.

Agreed it is a cute, smoother version of BTBRR - but after riding it my first thought was "that's it? This is what everyone has been making such a big fuss about.?"

I agree about it being worth no more than a 20-30 minute wait.
