Is 5 days too long for universal?

You need to think of it as a complete vacation and not just running from ride to ride. Take advantage of relaxing at the pools at all the resorts. Do things like the mini putt and see all the shows. Theme Park vacations don't need to just be spent inside the theme parks.

You're exactly right, I do need to start thinking of it that way and treating it like I would treat a trip to Disney. I think it's probably because my trips to universal have always been a day visit so I've got that manic running around from ride to ride idea in my head. I would take time out of the Parks to use at the pool and mini golf at Disney so why not do the same at universal!!

And at Universal you can pool hop. That makes it extra fun.

For me, and the way I tour, 3.5 days in the parks was too much. If the weather had been better (we went in January), I would have liked to have taken a day off to explore the pool, go over to Cabana Bay and use the lazy river, etc. But that wasn't an option for us, and by our last day in the parks we were like like "Well, what do you want to do again?"

We added on the half day when we got there because we were so excited to get into the parks, but yeah, even with naps on two of our three full days, we ran out of things to do.

Thank you so much for your opinions everyone, it's helped massively!! Dh is suitably convinced that we won't be bored after a couple of days haha
