Is 41 old?

Nope. I'm nearly 47, have just taken up saxophone, am considering studying for a psychology degree, and would rollerblade with you in a heartbeat if I had better balance and coordination and wouldn't likely end up in A&E with the nurses all tutting over the woman who should have been old enough to know better! :rolleyes1

Thank you for your replies! Not the answers I was expecting right off the bat -- I thought I'd hear things like, "Well, it's not young."

I find myself wondering if I should be rollerblading and doing things like that or do I look foolish at 41? I don't feel old, that is for sure but the frownies are starting to come out so I am considering botox. I have very young children so I figure I'm far from being a grandma.

It's a confusing age, but then again, so were the 30's. I was wondering if I was old then, too.

No, it is not old and there isn't anything wrong with rollerblading, etc at that age. Just please don't dress like you are 15 because that make you look foolish :thumbsup2.

Yep. True. My life is half over. But then again my sister's life was half over at age 6 1/2 :( so you really never know when you are going to go.

Oh, I'm so very sorry. The loss of your sister at such a horribly young age might be helping in your feeling "old" at 41.

Yes, as so many others have said, rollerblade away. You're old enough to "know better" but young enough to: 1- not care too much what other people may think of you and 2- heal relatively quickly! :lmao:

Do what you feel like you can do. But at 40 and up, bones start to break easier, and more. Instead of a clean break that just needs a cast, you may shatter a wrist in several places requiring plates and screws to heal properly. Wear all the protective equipment available, religously!!! Because you will fall! But with a helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, and even but/hip pads you will have nothing but fun... I mean, look at how much hockey players wear, and they are some pretty tough guys.

If it is not old what is it? Is it middle aged?

Didn't read all of the responses; so, I apologize if someone has made this observation previously: 41 is not as old as 42!

I recently turned 60, so "41" is looking pretty "young" to me right now..:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm 45 so I think it all depends on your outlook. When I was young 41 was ancient! Now, not so much. :teeth:
