Is $328 expensive for a flight?

We would be coming from Detroit to LA then leaving from San Francisco. I have no idea how much is too much...

I like to check farecast.com before I buy just to make sure. We fly out of STL to Orange County and we are usually between $250-$300pp. I haven't flow out of SF, so I couldn't say about that one for sure.

So I think that is an ok deal for you. I think the cheap airfares of the past are gone.

Going in and out of different cities it isn't bad. Otherwise, I would have tried for $250 to $300.

Thanks...
We are leaving in June so it makes me nervous to not have flights yet.

$279 is about the best they've been, and usually not available for Fri or Sun flights. So if it's worth it to you to fly on those days, or to book ahead for peace of mind, then $328 isn't too bad.

Best fares will often pop up about 40 -50 days before travel

We were going to pay almost $400 each from DC to LAX. . . and that was the cheapest flights out there . . . we were lucky enough to find out we had enough airline miles to get a direct flight out there, but I think 328 is average/normal.

I am trying to get some decent numbers for a DL trip in 08, we just got back from our first trip, and honeymoon at WDW, and I want to go to DL bad. I would say you got a DARN good deal. Fares for me right now and I checked travelocity, expedia, and such and it's all 600 and up for me to fly from Hawaii to orange county, and this is per person.

That's not a bad price. I paid $290 to fly from Grand Rapids into San Fran and then LAX back to Grand Rapids in August (on Delta).

Might also be worth it to check prices out of Flint and Lansing if those are relatively close.

It's a good fare considering the open jaw. Check into and out of nearby airports as well.

Open jaw...
I knew there had to be a term for flying in and out of two different airports.

Thanks for the replies. I am feeling better. I got used to the under $200 round trips to Orlando. I think the cheap flights are gone.....
