is 3 TS in one day too much from your experience?

On our last night in Disney we have the following scheduled:

8:05 Akershus (the one place my little one requested)

12:25 Le Cellier (can't believe I was finally able to get reservations here)

6:40pm Les Chefs (DH and I really want to eat here)

Is this too much? We only have one day planned at Epcot (5 days, 6 night trip). Ugh I would hate to cancel any of them.

we have two kids- both who will normally nap in their strollers after lunch
We do not plan on spending more than a few morning hours in future world, the rest of the time will be spent walking around world showcase- not planning on doing the rides- just strolling through...

We could purchase tickets for super low cost for our last day there (leave POR on ME at 3pm) and do akershus that day for breakfast but- that really seems like a lot of running around with 2 little ones before our flight-

Any ideas?

Even as a single person, I have never been able to comfortably eat three full meals a day anymore. Add in running around with kids, you are in for a true experience.

That being said, Akerhaus is very doable on your last day. If you have an ADR for 8:05 and you are seated rather quickly, it only takes about an hour and a half at the most.

Since Norway is closer to Future World, it shouldn't be a long walk back to the entrance to the park and the bus. You would most likely be sitting back on the bus to POR by 10:30/10:45 am.

You should be at the stop at 11:45 pm for the ME, for a 3 pm flight, which gives you about 45 minutes to an hour wiggle room.

actually- the flight is at 6pm so we would catch the ME at 3pm- gives us plenty of time if we do the breakfast on the last day.... hmmmmm

has anyone had any good experiences with 3 TS in one day with kids?

Oh yeah, your ME time is three p.m. Then you will have plenty of time. I would do that.

I cannot imagine spending all that money in one day, and then not be able to eat half of it....

Hmmm.. I would probably do Akerhus on my last day since it is so cheap to add an extra day of tickets. I just don't think I, personally, could eat so much in one day. Here is my thinking

8:35- eat breakfast around 9, done around 10am.
12:45- eat around 1 maybe 1:30 done 2 or 2:30
6:45- eat around 7 or 7:30, done at 8:30.

I don't know it just seems like a lot of time spending eating. Say it takes 2 hours per adr. Your at EPCOT from 8:30 to 9:30, and about half your time is in a restaurant eating.

Three TS is just way too much food. You'll still be stuffed from Askerhaus when you get to LeCellier! If you have hoppers or extra days left on your ticket you could slip back in for dinner at Chef De France.

Are you using the deluxe DDP? I think that I could possibly do all 3 (I know my husband would agree to try- thats a grenade he would willingly jump on) but 3 apps and 3 desserts would be a big undertaking for me!

no- just on the regular dining plan- no apps. We aren't huge breakfast people either so Akershus seems silly to me to use a credit and not eat a lot- but it really is the only place my little one requested....

we weren't planning on Le Cellier until I just happened to check reservations at the right moment and snagged it (today)- now I would feel bad cancelling...

decisions decisions... :)

Too much food? The portion sizes are already too big for one person to eat (healthily). Eat half and you won't be stuffed.

We did 3 TS meals in a day more than once on the DxDP last year with no problem - we didn't try to eat everything on our plate, though. A serving size of steak is about the size of a deck of cards - when is the last time you were served something that "small" at WDW? The apps are big, the entrees are double what they need to be, and then dessert? Too much. We ate half of our app, half of our entree, and whatever we could handle of dessert (usually less than half) and had a great time. (That said there are no kids involved yet, just us two adults.)

The first year we did the Deluxe plan we did 3 meals a day, several days. My Dh had no problem with all the food but I am not a big eater and left a lot of food on my plate. Ever since that trip when we do deluxe we do a 1TS lunch and a 2TS dinner and use snack credits for breakfast and I could not imagine trying to get little kids to sit still for 3 sit down meals in one day at Disney!

That's a LOT of food. I'd switch Askerhaus to your departure day if at all possible.

not only a lot of food, but meals way too close together. When we've done 3 table service a day, we find they have to be scheduled at least 5 hours apart...so if we have an 8:05 breakfast, we're not eating lunch until 1:30 or 2:00...and then dinner at 7:30 or 8:00. Any closer, and we just are not hungry yet.

And even in regular restaurants, that's a lot of time devoted to eating...figuring you have to check in 20 min. before your ADR, even if you're seated on time you'll still be spending at least 80-90 minutes per meal. Not counting the time to walk to the restaurant. Lot of time in meals especially if you only have one day in that park.

We would do this, but do not stress about getting the best value from the dining plan. DH is a big eater, I am not. I eat how much I want and do not worry about leaving 1/2 a plate of food if I am full. I rarely eat dessert. Yet, DH does. My 2 kids are older and are fine sitting thru 3 meals in a restaurant. You know best what your 2 will tolerate. I would go by that. If you do choose to do all 3 in one day. Make the day before very stress free for everyone. Mine seem to handle one busy day in the parks ok as long as they are well rested from the day before. :goodvibes
