We are going in July to Disney and want to add SW. We are not into rides (not yet) but would like to see the shows and animals. We also lik to try dining at Sharks. We will be taking a cab to and from DVC resort but will probably head back a little after lunch for DS2 nap time. Is it worth it? There is a $39 sale for the ticket which is half the full price so I thought it should be fine.

The first time we went was when my DS was almost 3. We didn't ride any rides either. But the shows and the exhibits were amazing. All 3 of us had a blast. I would definitely go if I were you.

We took our youngest DD to SW at 2. It was when Seaworld was in Ohio so a much smaller scale than Orlando

She doesn't remember it, but at the time, we had a lot of fun. Great memories and Pics.

I say go for it. It sounds like you are being realistic, and not thinking she can handle a full day!

Have a great trip

Getting to experience and interact with animals is a great thing for young kids even as young as two. There are plenty of exhibits where your son can interact with animals. Exhibits like petting dolphins and sting rays, seeing penguins and shamu! I would say go for it and make memories.

Great! Hope you have a great trip!

And just another FYI tip: If your son is getting tired during your visit, there are plenty of exhibits indoors that provide a nice place to cool off and relax. For example, you can sit and watch the Manatees in an indoor underwater viewing area. The Penguin exhibit is also indoors so that may be a nice place to relax. The Pets Ahoy show, which features cats and dogs, is in an indoor theater and could be a nice place to relax as well.

My kids are older but we took a good look around Shamu's Happy Harbor area. I kept thinking what a great place if you had very young kids. There are rides but definitely aimed at the under 5 crowd. Plus there is a huge climbing/sliding play area that shades a large sandbox. Then there are plenty of animal exhibits you can take at your own pace. I think it would be a great day with a little one.
