Is 2 days too short of notice for a birthday party?

We were planning Mo's birthday party for later in august but we are having it at a local park that is adjacent to a horse pasture. Since we are having a Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron party I thought the park would be the perfect place. However, it is August and we are getting VERY lucky this weekend with weather. Sunday is sunny and high 70's. I would really like to move it up to Sunday since we will be outside and it is going to be gorgeous. Is that too late of notice? The people coming are close friends and family so it isn't like we are inviting school mates or anything.

Thoughts?

It would be too short of notice for me. JMO.

I would go for it and see what the head count is like. I plan my oldest DS 14 party with a few days notice but he only has a few close friends come.

Well, I could give people the option. Come on Sunday and enjoy great weather or come in a few weeks and take your chances on 90 degrees, 90% humidity, & lots of bugs. ;)

That's very short notice. I would give at least a week's notice.

Too short of notice for me BUT family often does things at the last minute anyways.

I think maybe you could just call your guests and ask them?

I'd call and ask.

btw, happy birthday to Mo. :)

I just chatted with my cousin on AIM and she can't make it. Mo adores her so it is automatically scratched. :/ Oh well, at least I have time to order the Ultimate Spirit Party Pack from birthdayexpress now. ;)
