Is 1900 Park Fare Dinner better than Chef Mickeys?

We went to Chef Mickey's our last trip. I warned my DH but he was lured by the Fab 5. It was so gross. I didn't say anything hoping that it was just me and I went in thinking it was going to be nasty. Finally, my DH stopped eating things and just kept going back trying to find something edible. LOL!

Our stand by character meals have always been Crystal Palace, Akershus (both for lunch as was paying OOP) and last year we added and LOVED O'Hana's breakfast.

Considering 1900 park fare which we did years ago when my first dd was 3. We didn't love food at the time, and it was really noisy to me. But, we met the Tremaines in 2014 and a dinner with them just sounds amazing.

So compared to Chef Mickey's (pukeville) where does 1900 park fare come in? I'm phrasing it this way because I know it is not gourmet food and a buffet offering.

My DD13 and I love 1900 PF - Breakfast and dinner. I HATED Chef Mickey's. We went there for breakfast one time and I found it disgusting and loud and annoying. I will never go back there. We go back to 1900 PF every year. I enjoy their food (both bfast and dinner) especially their strawberry soup. And their characters are the best!

I haven't been to Chef Mickey's but I have been to 1900 Park Fare for dinner and it was one of our favourite Disney experiences to date. The food was good, I certainly wouldn't call it gourmet, but it was good and the character interaction was H I L A R I O U S. It was awesome. We all left with our bellies full and in amazing moods. I would highly recommend it.

Hands down 1900 was better then Chef Mickey's. We ate at both last trip and it is not even close. In fact even the character interaction was better at 1900 then Chef Mickey's. The only reason we did go there was to do the meet and greet for the kids this was we did not have to wait in line to get some pictures.

I have always enjoyed Chef Mickey's breakfast or dinner. Sometimes more than others. Have been many times. This past September it was really, really good.
I have always felt 1900 doesn't have a very good selection of food at dinner, but love their breakfast. And we have done both of those many times also.
We did brunch at 1900 on our departure day this past Sept and it was amazing. Not crowded, very relaxing and great food.
I swear the Mad Hatter remembers how my grandson always tries to avoid him every trip but he always sneaks back to our table to talk to him, lol.

Yes, we absolutely loved our 1900 PF dinner. Chef Mickey's had stuff that was just okay and stuff that was bad, but no stand outs at all.

I'd say yes as well, in a heartbeat...Although the interaction at CM is excellent, the food is just Meh....
1900 PF dinner was pretty good. Food choices were somewhat better, and the characters are hilarious & plentiful....I still prefer 1900 PF breakfast over the dinner though.....But between the 2 u gave....dinner at PF would be my choice.

Oh hell, yes.

OK, I'll bite... which 3? I've only encountered 1 that I found worse, so far. I'm curious if it's on your list.

Pretty sure H&V is one of them. Not sure what the other 2 are. I'd put Coral reef in there.

We definitely prefer 1900 PF over Chef Mickey! And, you can't beat the character interactions!!

H&V is the one I was thinking, that dinner buffet was brutally bad. I'm not in the majority on Coral Reef, we actually really enjoyed both of our meals there so far. Via Napoli is the other one that is on my never again list, but that was service related, more so than the food, which I found to be okay not great like 99% of DISers.

For food alone, CM and H&V are the only two that I've found to be poor.

ABC Commissary (just plain bad)
Casey's Corner (changed hot dog and changed buns recipes)
Backlot Express (really mediocre food and service)
. . . And, if does not improve, Skipper Canteen might make the list.

But those are Quick Service ..... looking for your three worst Table Service.

Wow, it's amazing somewhere RS calls "Hollywood & Vile" outranks "Chef Yucky's."
(unless I am mis-remembering and that's not Scupper's nom de guerre for H&V, in which case I blame my adult beverage for killing a brain cell.)

If McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King and Taco Bell are all better than CM (IMO they are), then yes 1900 PF is also better. LOL... Seriously, CM is the most gosh awful food (TS) I had at WDW. I left that place thinking Golden Coral was fine dining. I personally wasn't overly thrilled with 1900 PF either when it came to food (character interaction was great), but it was better than CM. But then again my opinions are coming from a person who is not a big fan of mass premade food placed on serving stations. The only dinner buffet restaurant in WDW I would call good is Boma, and perhaps Biergarten as average. From there IMO, the remaining buffets are less than average with CM leading the pack as terrible.
