Is 10:25 too early of a flight?

I'm afraid I know the answer to this, but on our return flight from our cruise there's a flight at 10:25, and the next one isn't until 1:45. Is 10:25 just cutting it too close? Of course we'd rather get home earlier, and it's cheaper but I'd hate to risk missing our flight if it's cutting it too close.

Yes.

Especially with the ongoing government shutdown which is beginning to cause TSA "sick outs" so that agents can work second jobs that pay them. That is leading to condensing of lines which makes them longer. MCO is a nightmare at the best of times - you throw in a short staffed TSA and I can only imagine the horror show it has the potential to become if this thing drags on.

Yes. Go by the times stated by DCL. I think it is 11:30 for PC.

We were on one cruise and had a delay getting back to PC (medical emergency at CC the day before). You never know what will happen. Play it safe.

It's a big risk, incredibly stressful, but doable if you are lucky. We made a 10:31 AM flight on Dec 28 after our cruise on the Dream, but it wasn't without stress and worry. We are adults only, travel with only a carry-on size suitcase and a backpack. The way we made it was (1) the ship cleared customs on time, (2) we walked off the ship at 7:15 am with our bags, (3) customs was well-staffed so we only waited about 5 minutes before walking out, (3) our driver from Happy Limo was early for our 7:45 pickup - he sent us a text at 7:25 that he was there so we were in his car by 7:30, (4) we don't check luggage at the airport, (5) we use mobile phone boarding passes, (6) we have TSA Pre-check and there was no line for pre-check security that morning, (7) a tram was just pulling in to go to the gates. We were at our gate by 8:30 for a flight that started boarding at 9:50 am. Once we started walking that morning we literally never had to stop and wait for anything. Any one of those pieces could have delayed us - we were lucky that morning!

Honestly my favorite return trip was last year after a short weekend cruise where we had a relaxing breakfast, left the ship, took the Avis shuttle, rented a car, and went to Kennedy Space Center for the day before a 6 pm flight. That was a relaxing, interesting day!

Why spend several thousand dollars relaxing to stress over a couple of dollars for a cheaper flight at an insane time?
Yes, 10:25 is too close.

Like a PP, we’ve done 10:25 flights in the past with express walk-off, private car, priority check-in and security and it was too close for comfort. A little glitch in the process and we could have missed our flight. For example, this morning, Fantasy was cleared at 7:45 instead of the usual 7:15 or 7:30. By then, the line to get off was snaking around the 3rd deck. The wait for CBD was also longer than usual. Add a problem on the road or a long security line (like there was this morning in MCO) and you may miss your flight.
