Does anyone have tips/advice for staying in Irvine and traveling to Disney? My husband will be in Irvine for business. Would it be worth it for the family to tag along and go to Disneyland? We have two girls, 2 and 6.

It's only 20-25 minutes from Irvine to Disneyland, so if you think you might have a rental car to make the drive, it's definitely worth tagging along!

Yes, definitely worth tagging along. Irvine is pretty close to DLR but like sonnyjane said, you will probably need to rent a car. It's just a straight shot up the 5 so it will be easy to get to.

I live in Irvine...trip from my front door to the parks is under 15 minutes!

YES, it's worth it!

We did this before a cruise last March. We stayed at the Doubletree at the Spectrum Center. It was super cheap ($35 a night) through Priceline and free parking. We had to pay parking at the park but would have paid for the shuttle anyway. It took us less than 30 minutes on a weekday morning when there was a bit of traffic. It is also pretty close to Laguna beach. Aliso beach is very nice with children that age. I would do it for sure. Just bring your GPS.
