I have no idea how you send e-mail anonymously. The only thing I could come up with is to break into a neighbors house & use their computer. :goodvibes

Even if you used a dummy account, couldn't it be fairly easily traced, at least to some degree?

Anonymous or not, I have a feeling this teacher knew exactly who sent the email.:rotfl:

I'm fully expecting an update telling us that the teacher stood in front of the class, remorseful for her error and ignorance, falls to her knees in tears, begs for their forgiveness and vows to never, ever question their authority again!

And then...they all enjoyed a big group hug and all was well again...until the next grammatical crisis at least.

In fact, I'm going to be really disappointed if it doesn't happen!

Ya think? :confused3

"You, Jerry Seinfeld, are no comedian!"

The sea was angry that day; like an old man returning soup at a diner.

It's sort of like a dry heave set to music.

Did you just double dip?!?

You dipped a chip. You took a bite. And you dipped again.

That's like putting your whole mouth right in the dip. From now on, when you take a chip, just take one dip, and end it.

She's deaf, she's not a circus act!

I guess you've just been up to more mischief than I have. I've never even considered sending anything I couldn't sign my name to. Call me stupid, I guess.

I've heard the only word to describe the baaaaybee is breathtaking.

I don't agree with the anonymous email, but I believe the OP has a right to be concerned.

I am always astounded when people say "it's just English, it's not that important".

Language is what we use to communicate with each other.

We use it to describe our feelings, thoughts and ideas, and in the case of Bob Slydell when he posts "I could care less what grammar a math teacher is using" when what he actually means is "I COULDN'T care less", we use it incorrectly.

English is an ever changing language. As a result we have words like "bootylicious" and "truthiness" added to the dictionary. There are however rules to language just like there are to math. 2 + 2 will always equal 4. If you try to tell me 2 + 2 equals 5, you're wrong and I'll say so.
If you use an incorrect modifier or a dangling participle, guess what? You're wrong and I'll say so.

We constantly allow standards in our education system to be lowered. Don't believe me? Check out this story on CNN, http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/19/deerdecoy.crash.ap/index.html

"I've never seen anything that has been so much an issue in the community," said Arch Rodgers, principal of 670-student Kenton High School. "The worst part is this has drug out so long and the longer it drug out, the more it created friction in the community."

"Drug out so long and the longer it drug out"!!! This guy is a principal and he sounds like Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel. What chance do the students of this school have, to say nothing of the stupid behaviour of the two football players, when this guy is in charge?

How about the $2.13 million comma?

about how punctuation is an important and sometimes costly communication tool. I bet the folks at Rogers Communications Inc. wish somone had studied a little harder.
