Individual staterooms do not have irons/ironing board nor can you request them for a stateroom. You will have to go the laundry room to use one. Or better yet, send your items out to be ironed. It is very reasonably priced!

Irons are a fire hazard so the individual staterooms don't have them. As the PP mentioned, you can either use the one provided in the laundry rooms or send things out for pressing.

Laundry room or send out for pressing! The latter is what we do; it's a great bargain compared to dry-land dry cleaning and/or pressing services.

DCL still owes me an iron :sad2: - lol. I had a very nice travel iron in our luggage when we checked in for our B2B aboard the Fantasy several years ago. Got a call later from a CM for me to report to Guest Services. Apparently x-rays had indicated I had an iron in my luggage which I had to turn over to them for safe-keeping for the duration of the cruise. That was fine as the iron was for use before and after our B2B during our month-long holiday. However at the end of the 2nd cruise, Guest Services could not locate my iron despite the fact that they had given me a tag to turn in to retrieve the iron - they stated that I could check with the staff at PC after I picked up our luggage. Well I never got around to it as it was just too busy and we needed to get a start on the next leg of our holiday. I figured that the staff at Guest Services must have cleared things out after the first cruise, not realizing that we were still onboard for the B2B. To this day I still mourn the loss of our iron

I don't understand if you were too busy to deal with it and wanted to move on with your vacation, how is that Disney's fault and why would they owe you an iron?? Sounds like you dropped the ball, not Disney.

I think that poster was just doing a little tongue in cheek complaint.
Darn it - I knew I forgot something when we were back on the Fantasy last Oct - I should have asked Guest Services if they located my missing iron from our B2B a few years prior :magnify:

At the time though, I couldn't understand how they could have "misplaced" the iron as the staff had given me a tag to turn in to claim it back. A complete search of the area ... nothing. She suggested that I may give Lost and Found a try inside the terminal upon disembarkation. I am sure there must be SOPs on how "confiscated" items are dealt with etc so was surprised no one had a clue. Anyways, with trying to get a porter for all our luggage, assisting DW who has mobility issues and with our car service already outside, just did not have the time whatsoever in going back inside and trying to find someone to go and find something that may or may not be with them.

So every time I see our iron in the store (it was a very nice purple Rowenta Travel Iron) or read about irons, I always feel a tinge of sadness :guilty: ... anyways we don't travel with an iron anymore as I no longer bring a monkey suit for formal nights :rolleyes1.
