I know there are no irons in the rooms, but are you allowed to bring portable irons to use in your room? Just hate to have to trek back and forth to the laundry room. Thanks for any info.

Your own portable irons and/or garment steamers can only be used in the designated laundry rooms. I have heard many like the spray wrinkle release products that are now on the market.

I have seen firsthand why irons are not allowed in the staterooms. In one of our rooms, the desk had the burned-in impression of an iron where someone had apparently left it unattended.

IMHO they should have been charged for it so the furniture could be replaced. The next guest should not have to put up with carelessness/ignorance/rudeness. Wear and tear is normal, burn marks are not.

I really didn't think the trek to iron things was that bad, but I had it easy the laundry room was located just down the hall from my cabin!!!! Just try to go at an off-time and get all your ironing done at once. I was doing it each night, but as it got near the end of the cruise, it got VERY hot in there with all the dryers on!!
