Ironing board challenged

I am not exactly what you call a domestic goddess and have to admit that I can be pretty slow sometimes. Apparently I have grown up with a different type of ironing board and couldn't figure out what thingy to pull, push to close the ironing board on my last visit. Instructions please??

EVery ironing board I have ever seen has the latch near the pointy end on the under side. Don't pinch your finger!
