Hi,

I feel like this is a dumb question, but ....... are there irons in the state rooms or are they available? How do people handle keeping their clothes looking good? Is there adequate closet space for hanging items? :confused3

Thanks! I'm a first time cruiser (our family of 5 will be on the Magic 7/17).

There are irons available to use in the laundry rooms. I know I usually hang my stuff as soon as I arrive bringing extra hangers. There is also that stuff you can spray on your clothes that does wonders on wrinkles.

Just tell your stateroom host you need extra hangers, no need to bring them from home. I tell them I need an extra 25 and they have them right there for me. You are not permitted to iron in your stateroom.

Another option is to send your clothes out to the onboard cleaners to have them pressed. Cost is 1/2 of the cleaning cost. Several folks have posted that they send everything out the first night and it's back the next day ready to go for the whole cruise.

This sounds like a good idea; does anyone know the cleaning/pressing charges on board?

Though I don't have the exact charges, but I sent DH's tux, suit, DD's formal dress, two of my dresses and DH's shirt to be pressed, and the total cost was 24.00! I was very impressed that it was so reasonable, since cleaning and pressing is usually so expensive, ON LAND!

There are laundry rooms??? Do it yourself laundry rooms?? I didn't notice any on my ship 'map'.

Sorry, just exploring cruising and my travel companion didn't want to do Disney's land/sea package because she didn't like the idea of arriving on the ship with dirty clothes! She really wants to cruise first/do parks second.

they are not on the deck plans

the locations are
Deck 2 - Port side, near room 2096
Deck 6 - Starboard side, near 6588
Deck 7 - Starboard side, near 7596

You are not allowed to iron in your stateroom. Fire hazard.

With that being said..when we arrive, we put everything that is wrinkled in the laundry bags and send it out for pressing only. This works great!
