Ok so I'm attempting to make welcome canvas tote bags and iron on my logo on it. It did not come out good at all. I just bought the regular Avery ink jet t-shirt transfers sheets and it is not ironing on fully to my tote bag. For those of you who have made their own tote bags...what is the trick?

I saw that there are iron on transfer sheets for tote bags but they were way more expensive than the t-shirt ones...is this necessary?

I swear, I should get a job promoting AC Moore. Anyway, since the iron-on transfers for tote bags are more expensive, call/visit your local AC Moore (or Michaels! Or Jo-Ann!) and use the 40% off coupons you can get out of your newspaper, or from their website. Oh! and AC Moore accepts Michaels and JoAnn coupons!!

Other than that, I have no idea. :confused3
We're doing iron-ons for our T-shirts!! :) Great minds think alike!

did you try washing the bags first? when i used to make iron on things for my nieces, i had to wash the clothes and use no fabric softener. you can try it before you buy new ones.

btw, kt27 used avery and said they were great. she had bags too (not sure of the material). maybe she'll read this and tell you her trick!

We didn't wash the bags 1st, we used a pillow case between the iron. We had a few mishaps but luckily it was 4 and we used 1 bag for them (i used both side, inside & out). We did not purchase the tote bag iron ons, we used the tshirts one (I didn't know they even had these). We used 1/2 sheets for our monogram to save $$. They came out good. Any other questiosn please feel free to ask.
