iron on transfer paper question.

Question for all of you experts.

I have made t-shirts before with the iron on transfers.. but its been awhile and I have always used white.

Is their special paper to make an iron on transfer for a black shirt?

Is their special paper to make an iron on transfer for a black shirt?

If you are ironing on a white shirt, you can use either light or dark transfer paper. With light transfer paper, the white areas of the design will be clear.

On any other color shirt, the white area of the design will be the color of the shirt if you get light transfer paper. Most of us here recommend dark transfer paper on anything but a white tshirt. Some even use dark transfer paper on white as well, because it often makes the colors more vibrant.
