We've been reading Angela's Ashes in my senior English classes, so I thought since St. Patrick's Day is coming up, I'd make something Irish for them. I have them 1st and 2nd periods, so I need something that would be easy to have ready first thing. I was think about colcannon, since I could make that up the night before and heat it up in a crockpot first thing in the morning. Anybody else have suggestions for something easy or a good colcannon recipe?

Soda Bread. Easy to make, easy to transport and would work well as a breakfast type snack. A quick google search will list tons of recipes. :)

Well a classic in my family is Corned Beef and Cabbage but I don't know if the smell would go over too well at school.

With apple butter spread you can buy in the jar.Very Irish fare!

I remember having "Irish" stew in 3rd grade when we were celebrating St Patrick's Day.
