Hi, all.
I can never remember... I know that Iris belong in sun, but will they bloom in shade? I assume that I can't relocate them now????????????????
Thanks!
:flower:

They need full sun, will grow but probably not flower. Plus they will be more susceptible to disease and rot.

I have some in full sun and some planted in part sun (early morning and part shade afternoon) and they have done beautifully in both areas. Possibly it depends on the variety?

I too have some in full sun and some in partial shade, all bloom well.
Does it get any sun in the spot they're in? They need sun at some point during the day. The more the better :sunny:
See how it goes this season and if they don't bloom just transplant them to a sunny location. They do transplant well.

Welcome, DeanDoug! :flower3:

I just wanted to make sure that you had a chance to see Deb's beautiful Iris pics. :)

You can find them right ~Here~ , and they're truly irispirational! ;)
