Ipod Vs. Mp3

Hiya,
Does anyone have any idea which one is the best??
I was considering buying the ipod nano silver or blue 2 or 4 gb but i don't really know anything about ipods. I thought about getting this mp3 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5135097.htm . So what are your opinions on either one. Also could you tell me about ipods, how do you get the music??

get an ipod. they may be a bit more expensive but its worth it. they hold more songs and you can get podcasts such as the dis and character breakfast.

I have an Ipod Mini and get my music from cds or limewire. I'm kind of fed up with mine because it only works for 15 minutes in the cold. That's probably nothing you'll have to worry about, but just by chance if you spend time outside in the winter just something to think about(for example when I go skiing/boarding).

But other than that I don't know a whole lot about other MP3 players.

Ipod > any other mp3 player > zune > cd player

Ipod owns them all, just because it's Apple. Apple never fails, and their customer service is great.

And, get a 4G, at least. You'd be surprised how quickly they fill up... I have an 8G and I'm almost out of room, only .3G left =(

Ipods suck.

A) Didn't get a manual on how to use it. A little messed up isn't it?
B) Doesn't come with Itunes, you have to get it off the internet.
C) Hates itunes with the bruling passion.

I have a Zen Microphoto (Creative Labs) and it's perfect. It does all the same things as an Ipod Nano (Photos, color screen, FM radio, Calendar, clock, etc) but the uploading and editing program is MUCH MUCH easier to use.

Ipods are also more expensive IMHO, and I've heard often of them breaking easily. Some of the Nano's scratch easily too.
Honestly, to me the only upside of an Ipod is the wheel. IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY WITH IT! It's not practical though, because most of the time it doesn't land on the thing you want.

i am the only person i know why still listens to CDs.

i have a crummy MP3 player, but i dont listen to it.
i usually listen to music in my room (on my CD player) when im driving in the car (in the CD play) or on the computer.

my sister has an ipod though. i like borrowing it sometimes.

B) Makes the packaging smaller, and is also better to download so you know that you have the latest version.

The iPod wheel is pretty much the most practical way of scrolling through menu items and songs. Do you just randomly spin it, because that's probably why it doesn't land on what you want.

Hey thats great but to bad alot of people still dont have internet. Apple isn't being green they just want more people to visit there site hoping they can get people to buy more apple products.
