I bought myself an Ipod touch but am not sure how much use I would get out of it. I have until 1/7 to return it. I am thinking of returning it and getting a netbook to take on vacations. I hate making decisions.
This totally depends on what you intend to use the I-touch for....
If your main use is the internet access then take it back as personally that is my least favorite feature. The web pages are so small that it is very difficult to use. My main use is to listen to music at work (block out the noise) and to watch movies waiting for appointments ect.
We have the Acer (and like it) as well as an iPhone. I don't mind using the iPhone to browse the Internet or check email, but can't play Internet games on it (webkinz, club penguin). Almost couldn't do those on the Acer because of the monitor size, but we found an app to fix that.
Biggest difference: the iPhone fits in my back pocket.
I plan to return it today as long as I can get my full refund. I think I came to my senses and realized it is just a toy that I would not really use much. The net book makes more sense to me for then we travel etc. I really dont listen to music or watch movies. I just like to use the internet, so I think I will return it and watch for sales on the computer.
Wrestling with this myself at the moment. I like the thought of being able to access my e-mail and some basic webpages whether in the living room or on the go. If I go with a netbook, I could do slightly more agressive computing while at home. If I had the Touch, I could tap into more of that mobility (facebook, twitter, etc) plus have video while waiting for appointments.
