ipod touch accessories question

Please help a tech-impaired Santa. My DD bought a ipod touch 16 GB for her b-day using her $$$. (I do not know the generation.) I would like to get her a dock/alarm clock, something from Santa to use with this. When I am shopping what do I look for to make sure it is for an ipod touch? I did a search online and it says accessories for ipod touch 2, 8, 32, and 64 GB, but not 16. (I did search the apple site, but do they make docks for touches?) I am so confused, but willing to learn if someone could point me in the right direction. Any suggestions for accessories, websites, stores are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

As far as I know....all ipods will fit into an ihome. DD has a touch and DS has a nano and they each use each other's ihomes.

I will stay with the Apple brand on the docking system - this way you know for sure it will fit.

Yes, the ihome comes with inserts for the touch, the classic, and the nanos. You can just snap in the one for the touch.

A couple of other ideas: if she has a car (not sure of her age), you can buy a device that plugs into the cigarette lighter and then into the aux in on the car, so you can run the ipod through the car stereo system.

For stocking stuffer type gifts, you could get her an ipod cover--a soft plastic sheath that slips onto the back of the ipod to protect it from scratches, and maybe an armband ipod holder, so she can wear it while exercising?
