DD11 wants an iPod nano. She has the money for it (cash). My question where do we get the music downloads? Is this the one that only downloads from itunes or i've seen rhapsody on tv. Can someone tell me about this and how much is each download. She also has a target and toys r us gift card. I'm wondering if she could buy a music card with those. I hate for her to buy an ipod and its to expensive to keep update because i wont be buying all her music-lol! Thanks for any advice and tips.

I guess she likes the video idea. I guess you can make videos and upload to youtube. I told her i'd have to think about uploading videos and need to get approval

DD11 got an ipod for Christmas. She does all of her downloading using iTunes. It costs about $0.99 to $1.29 per song or about $9.99 for an album.

oh that not to bad. I've seen the itune cards so those will be nice stocking stuffers and b-day gift

Amazon is another great place for downloading music. My daughter has an Ipod Nano and has found many great albums for only $5 in the MP3 section of amazon...not just oldies...new & popular artists.

Also, coinstar will count for no cost and spit out an I-tunes card. I've done it for my own use a bunch of times.

Plus, you can load your own CDs onto the PC and then transfer to the Ipod. For me it was months before I needed to download anything. Granted I also had 15+ years of CDs, and for a while in high school was on first name basis with the Sam Goody staff.:lmao:

Don't forget that you can take and CDs you already own and upload them into your iTunes library and put them on the iPod Nano that way. When my daughter got her iPod, we filled it up with Mom and Dad's music (mostly 80s stuff) and she learned to love it  We also put a lot of podcasts on there, educational and fun stuff (Disney ones too!)

Once she got it, whenever anybody asked what she wanted for gifts, the answer always became iTunes cards, and then she just started downloading the stuff that pre-teens like. Well okay, *I* started downloading it without having to pay for it out of my own pocket, she's not allowed to, even now,
at 13.
