Hi all. I was curious if anyone out there knows about ipod touch wireless connections.

DS and DD have 2nd generation ipod 8 gig Itouchs.

For some reason they are unable to connect to our secure wireless connection at home. I have checked the passphrase and everything they are entering is correct, but for some reason.. it always says password incorrect. I know it is the correct password because I use it to connect with the laptop. I know they need to use key1 not the passphrase.

Any computer or ipod experts out there that might be able to help. I think it is really odd that neither one of them is able to get a connection.

Do you have mac filtering on your router? Meaning that the router only allows certain devices to connect to it, based on their IP address?

Connect to your router using the generic web address and check your settings - if you need to add the address of your iPod Touch, it should be found in your settings.

If it's not the mac filtering, I'm out... Sorry. Good luck!

We have charter internet and I called charter and got the password for our router because I could not remember it. Once I got that and put it in, it worked. This was a Christmas present to my daughter and she LOVES the Ipod Touch. I have to say it is pretty neat, although I am a Nano girl myself.;) Good Luck.:goodvibes

I do not have wireless internet at home but my son has tried to use his iPod Touch in Starbucks and other places with free wireless. It never works. Anyone know why?
