Has anyone ever seen a Ipod for Dummies type book? DD and I each hace a 30 Gig and I would love to find a simple guide.

Yes, I bought iPod & iTunes for Dummies recently. The authors are Tony Bove and Cheryl Rhodes. Mine is listed as a 3rd edition, so earlier editions must have been out for a while. My daughter is a pro but is usually too busy to help at the remedial level I need, so I thought the book would help!!!!

I'm a little sad - this is the first time I haven't been able to easily figure out some new technology. It's just not as intuitive for me as other things have been. I could easily set up my own computer, etc. but the iPod has me baffled. Part of the problem is that we are sharing an account and all of her music has been downloaded onto my iPod. I think once I understand what the deal is, I can fine tune it for my needs and then I'll be good to go!!!

No bashing here, but I have to say, I found the whole iPod / iTunes thing as easy as pie to figure out.... now my iShuffle? That's a whole other matter! ;) I can get it to work, but I do have some problems with it that I can't figure out.

I always start at www.ipodlounge.com

Good luck all!

They do have books, but if you go to Barnes and Noble, there is usually a magazine dedicated to iPod and iTunes to be found.

I have not seen a book, but I have found the ipod website to be very simple and helpful.

My DS and I also share an Itunes account. The trick to not having all the music in the account on your ipod is to make sure your ipod is not set up to update automatically. This way you have to actually click and drag the songs you want into your ipod. You will also have to safely eject it from the taskbar before you unplug it.
