Iphone4 data in Florida

I’m sure this is far from the first time this question has been asked, so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

I want to us an Phone when we are in Florida, I’m up on the getting an AT&T sim for the phone and using that, but I hear their may be issues using apps etc, The main reason I’m using the I phone is for the Disney apps I have on it, I believe there may be a work around for data usage… so if someone could please suggest a solution for using a UK IPhone for data in the Florida, that would be fantastic.

The AT&T sim is fine but you can't register an iPhone using the actual IMEI number from the phone, you need to find an old phone or (I seem to remember from last year) use zeroes.

You then need the APN settings which are the settings for connecting via AT&T networks. Go here http://www.unlockit.co.nz/unlockit/ over wifi in the villa or a cafe and install their app and select the right carrier, it will change the settings then just uninstall the app when you get home.

Worked fine for us on a few occasions.

EDIT: Just checked, unless you are jailbroken then just visit http://www.unlockit.co.nz on the phone itself

Hi, I've found a very helpful article (and jeez this seemed very hard to find!) that describes how to use an unlocked iphone in the US… which AT&T seem to be doing their damnedest to stop you doing!
