iphone users - what's your Siri voice?

So I haven’t done it for a while, so it could have improved in recent years, but I once switched to Australian male for a few days for fun but found that my phone was also LISTENING with an accent too. I’d ask questions and it would say it couldn’t understand me. Same exact phrase, switched to regular Siri, and it would work first try. As entertaining as listening to the Aussie guy was, it was a waste since I couldn’t get him to understand me!

It's definitely improved in recent years. I tried British male out years ago and had the same problem, but now I have been using British male fine for a while. Sometimes I forget that he's not the typical Siri until I hear someone else use Siri.

I didn’t use Waze for long, because I didn’t like it. But I did like the fact that it was Morgan Freeman‘s voice.


My Siri is British male, I like to pretend it’s Colin Firth!

I don’t even bother having Siri on my Apple devices turned on. The AI database of Siri is terrible compared to Alexa and Google Assistant.

I mainly use Siri for driving directions, setting timers, and calling someone when my hands are busy.

I use it for that a lot, too! Also for setting reminders - it's especially convenient when I remember something in the car, and can just tell her to remind me when I get home.

I use the maps app on my iphone. I wonder if Google maps has its own voice options like Waze?

Apple maps uses the Siri voice. Google maps has its own voice. (I think...)

Ok, I figured it out. If you download and install iOS14, then you can change maps voice via siri

Someone has a change.org petition to change the voice to Mike Rowe. They say if there is a charge for that they would like all proceeds to go to the organization Mike has to support skilled labor training. I would love to have his voice, but for now I may go Irish male.
