FWIW, my daughter wanted an iPhone in the worst way. I kind of strong armed her into the Thunderbolt. Other than horrible battery life, which I've been told all smart phones have, she has no regrets. Even her friend and friend's mom, who both have iPhones, like our Thunderbolts. OTOH, one of the reasons I pushed the Thunderbolt is because I DON"T want DD to be using it as an iPod. I don't want to hear that every time I try to reach her, her battery is dead because she was listening to music on it.
