iPhone app for wait times at Disney

Just read this on the Orlando Sentinel.

Given the cost of data roaming charges not sure this will be that useful to those of us with UK contracts.

I'll be very interested in hearing reviews on this throughout the summer. I've got a couple of months before I have to decide if it's worth it. Great idea though!

Given the data roaming costs I won't be getting it. Although it seems like a good idea it does rely on people uploading the data on a regular basis. We all know that EMH, time of year etc can affect wait times. I really would wonder how acurate this info was.

hmm I know the iphone is popular, but out of maybe 10 people a the line at any one time with an iphone, how many of those will have this app? and those with the app, how many will bother updating the data every time they go by a ride?

nah not gonna work!

now if disney themselves made something like this... with wifi access (limit the wifi so it only allows this app to work rather than free internet) with real live queue times then it'd be great!

This does sound like a very good idea, however I can't see it working particually well. It is going to rely on others 1) Entering times and 2) Entering correct times...I can imagine 50 or so iPhone owners saying the wait time for IASW is 60 minutes so that they can have a shorter queue!!

This seems to be one trick that Disney themselves have missed, maybe they could have run an app that displayed wait times for all rides throughout all parks...I mean they have this information anyway don't they.
