Iphone 5c Adblocker help

I noticed recently a lot of talk about ad blockers on the dis. I put one on my laptop about two weeks ago and now it is great. I don't know why I never put one on before but since you guys always say you use one I decided to. Now yesterday I attempted to put one on my iphone 5c (yes a really old iphone) and I cannot (at least can't use adblocker). I tried dealing with apple and they only gave me a link to one app and it had horrible reviews so I'd rather keep the ads. Anyway, since you guys seem very knowledgeable with adblockers do any of you have a really old iphone 5c like me and could recommend something? Thx. Really trying to hold off getting a modern iphone but I may have no other option.
