Just read this on Perez Hilton, so take it for what it's worth....

Steve Jobs Final Project Is Not The 4S

IT'S THE IPHONE 5!!!!!!

We are thrilled to announce that the world will be graced with one more wonderful product designed by Steve Jobs, and that is the NEXT iPhone!
Here's what Rodman & Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar had to say about it:

"[The iPhone 5] was the last project that Steve Jobs was intimately involved with from concept to final design. For that reason…this product will establish the high water mark for iPhone volumes."

And here's what another source had to say about Steve's involvement with the next iPhone:

"[The iPhone 5 is a] complete redesign. This is a very large project that Steve dedicated all of his time to. He was not that involved in the 4S because his time was limited."

How exciting! We can't wait to check out the final piece of technology designed by Steve himself!

…Anyone out there beginning to second guess their iPhone 4S purchases?

I'm glad I decided to wait! I was hoping for more from iPhone 4S, but now I see why the changes were subtle. Can't wait for the iPhone 5!!

Now, do I wait for the iPhone 5? I'm eligible for a new phone in January. I wonder when the iPhone 5 is coming out?

I sure hope 5 fits my book book. If not, I'm getting out the duct tape.

What do you think of the book book? Is it comfortable to hold to your ear? It looks very cool but a little clunky.

I hope it's 4G. I had the new one for a few hours and took it back to Best Buy and go my Android back. The Iphone on Sprint is way to slow for me.

The way I see it, there is always going to be something bigger and better released. Technology is ever-changing and almost impossible to keep "current." I bought an iPhone 4S this weekend after having my 3G for a few years. I'm incredibly happy with my purchase!

I am quite happy with my book book. The quality is excellent. It can be awkward to hold at first until you get used to it. I avoid the issue by talking on the speaker phone or using earphone/microphone. That helps cut out road noise (horns honking at me, sirens behind me etc.).

So you did wind up going with the 4S. I had a feeling you would. :)

Being that I had a Blackberry before Friday, I am very happy about my first iPhone. :-)

I think the iPhone 5, should be my very first Apple purchase!

:scared1:Jumping out of the way to leave room for Pete to pass out:rotfl2:

I don't think my 4 is better than my 3.

Don't care about 4S and I doubt the 5 will have me any more interested. We'll see.

Between my husband and I, we LITERALLY have ever version of iPhone released...which is actually a bit embarrassing if you think about it.....

He got the 4s. I still have the 4 and no Siri:sad2: ...but it's my turn when the 5 comes out!

It was odd that 4s was not 4g, so guessing that the main thing with the 5 is to go that way.

As with a pp, I went to the 4s from Blackberry so am still ok with my purchase and glad to not have service disruptions.

I heard Steve Jobs had the next 5 years planned out for Apple. So it's possible that the iPhone 5 will not be the last of the Apple items he contributed to. I'm a fairly new convert since I only had an iPod Nano until April when I finally bought an iPhone 4 (thanks Verizon for finally getting it!). And people were telling me THEN to wait for the iPhone 5. I'm glad I didn't wait - I would still be working with a dumb blackberry.

interesting...

I'm in the same boat as you.. our contract is up in December so I was figuring I would get an iphone4s then and give my old iphone 3G to my technology hating husband. I'm extremely new to the iphone actually.. I got my 3G from my mom a few months ago (when she got a new phone) so I'm not really sure what to do now. Wait for the iPhone 5? :confused3

I will say though that I do really like having an iPhone. I used to be one of those people who said "I really don't NEED that"... and I really don't.. but it is a fun phone to have!

Well, coming from someone who has owned every iPhone up until this point... I am skipping the 4S. AT&T changed their upgrade rules around a little bit (high revenue users used to get an upgrade every 12 months, now it is 20 months for everyone) so I am not eligible until March/April. The 4S is just not appealing enough to make me want to drop $450 AND reset my 2 year contract. My iPhone 4 still works great, and I have an iPad 2. My husband and I will both be on board for iPhone 5 when it decides to make it's debut.

You've got to take any iPhone rumours with the same grain of salt that we set aside for bus drivers and ferry captains. Don't believe a thing until Apple makes an announcement.
