So do you need to be home when it arrives to sign for it? Or will FedEx just leave it at your doorstep?

Just log on the the Apple store and click on your account > order status. This is the same place you will get your tracking number. There is a link that will allow you to pre-sign for this shipment. (see below circled in red)

We have no preorders at all for our mobile phone networks, only direct from Apple, here in the UK

Gonna try my luck in store early on Thursday but if there's too big a queue I'll have to give up and go to work

Probably won't get one for ages tho as I doubt the queue will be small enough for me to wait

If I had one preorded for in store pickup I would not go til the afternoon or evening to get away from the crowd. It is not like you preordered it at Best Buy, they will still have a phone for you.

Just checked mo order. Both my phones have been shipped, sweet. Iphone 4 here we come.

Where should I show up on Thursday morning in hope of scoring two IPhones? My choices are ATT, Apple Store, Best Buy, Wal Mart, and Radio Shack. Any suggestions? I am thinking the Apple store is my best bet, but then I'll have to go to ATT to get the non-I phones I need transferred.

Do not go to walmart. I read where they may only get like 2 to 3 phones per store. Go to Apple or AT&T. They will be you best chance.

Just got an email stating that Apple will have a special line for folks that pre-ordered.

I'd never want to stand in line with those that didnt pre-order.

I'm wondering if Apple will have an iPhone 4 finder on its website.

Two years ago when Val & I got our iPhones (yes, we are due) Apple had a spot on their website that you could use to find out which stores in the area had iPhones in stock. I'm guessing they will need to do that again for those of us that didn't pre-order.

I did in-store pick-up because I have a busy afternoon that day and can't wait for the FedEx guy to show up. At the time I thought I would have to sign for it.

Nope I didn't get notification and if I go and check my order status it states in progress. Then tonight I get an email fro ATT asking me if I lke my new 3Gs WTH??

For those of you who preordered at Apple and are having it shipped check your email. Christmas is coming a day early this year....
