iPhone 4 users...

For those of you who had the 3G and moved up to iphone 4 how much more do like it and why.

I have 3G and am really considering a 4. thanks

There are 2 reasons why I like the bumper. First I can lay the phone on my dashboard while driving and it doesn't slide off. I dropped the phone in a parking lot and it landed on the corner. The bumper to some damage and the phone was fine.

I moved from a 3G to a 4 last July. Significant increase in App speed. :thumbsup2

Not only that but my battery was giving out on the old one. On the new one I've got much longer battery life. Overall a very good upgrade.

:thumbsup2 I have a custom skin on my Iphone 3Gs. It is Gerard Butler in his Sparta costume from the movie 300. He is almost naked....;)

I have a silicone cover for mine and have not experienced any problems. It is a must for me since I drop mine regularly.

I upgraded from the 3G and agree with the previous poster that the speed and battery life are much improved. I loved my 3G though.

I personally use and have used an Otterbox Defender on four different iPhones now. Kind of expensive for a case, but it is the best and best looking for the protection case that I have found.

As for switching to the four, I love it, so much faster, better battery, etc. However, a new one will be on AT&T in June. Not sure if Verizon will follow the same update schedule but I would assume so.

My white Otterbox case is a lil piece of insurance! Expensive for $50, but well worth it. As careful as I've tried to be, I've already dropped my phone. However, the Otterbox completely protects it.

Between DH iPhone 3g and my 4, there is a definite difference in web speed. Also, the 4 has (awesome) video, front facing camera, and camera flash...just a few of the options that come to mind.

I have a clear incase. I had the Zagg cover on the front but it drove me crazy so I pulled it off and now take my chances with scratches. The hardest thing is keeping it in the opposite pocket as my keys.

Thanks everyone! I too like the look of the iPhone 4 so I'm hoping to have just the bumpers and not a full case as I did on the 3G, however I am totally afraid of dropping it.

I have had quite a few challenges but I still love the phone :) I'll be picking up my third one (third times the charm right?) on Saturday. First my camera didn't work and now I have the dreaded yellow spots that won't go away midway down my screen. Often apparently they go away on their own but after 10 days it appears I wasn't so lucky. I'm really looking forward to using the video feature on our next trip to WDW. The video I've taken so far has been so clear - it's really fantastic!

Thanks again for your input. :)

geez - those are the stories apple manages to suppress...
we have the 3GS and DD and DH have had non-stop problems with theirs from the beginning...and it's gotten worse over time...
and the way the phone companies work here - they basically tell you to go take a flying leap when you have an iphone problem....
so now we're waiting for a new batch of iphone4 phones to get here so that DD and DH can upgrade --it will cost a fortune but they really need their iphones...
now i hear all the problems you had - i sure hope they don't experience any problems..

as for covers, i have the iskin on my phone and love it - it protects it from falls, and makes it slip proof...

I was really hoping for a better review of the zagg cover. Oh well

Picked up the 4 last night. My dh will use my old 3G, anything I should be aware of with synking with iTunes using 1 acct. Tia

I LOVE my iphone 4 parituclarly for what others mentioned - battery life and speed. The video feature is great as well. I was using the bumpers that we received free last summer but I just returned from Disney and got a great Kermit iphone 4 case there. They only have one series out now that features Kermit, Tinkerbell, Toy Story and one other that I'm not thinking of but it's a pretty great case thus far!

Is anyone using imovie? Do you like it? Are there other or better video editting/enhancing apps? TIA

Ok my DIS friends...I need your help..
I have a Iphone 4, operating systems are up to date.
I close apps after use by double clicking the round button (don't know what is called) at the bottom of my phone, after using that app. (learned this last week at the Apple store)
I have usage on my phone for data almost every night around the same time for huge amounts. Trouble is I'm not doing it and I am always home at that time. PLUS I have wifi in the house and should be on that. The phone is usually just sitting on the kitchen counter. The usage is big to 1319KB, 953KB, 71762KB, 44047KB to name a few.
I have: called ATT...he noted account but offered no help. He suggested I talk to Apple.
I went into the Apple store. The guy told me about closing the apps at night and basically said to turn the phone off at night. I don't want to do that I want to know why it's not on wifi.
I went into a ATT store. He looked at the phone and said no apps he could see where running in the background. He suggested keeping an eye on it and contacting him if it continues.
Well since Thursday it has happened a few more times.(since going to ATT) All apps are closed yet there is internet usage and almost always around 9pm.

Anyone know what's going on? Why do I have usage when nothing is open and why isn't it on my wifi? I have not gone over my plan but I am very close to it.
Any suggestions are appreciated.:confused3
