For all of those who purchased or received an ipad2. What protective case did you purchase? What are the pro's and con's of the case? I need a case for teens. TIA

my husband bought the smart cover when he bought his ipad2. Hated it. On the ipad1 he had an "incase" one. That is what he asked for for Christmas. He did like the ones offered at Brookstone, that had the hard cover and keyboard. Those run $100 I believe. The incase, I want to say is $60. They did have them on sale last week for $40 I think.

I believe this is the one that our sons bought him:

ETA: The smart cover only offered a lift with a cover over the top. With the incase one, he can stand the ipad up and watch like a tv. It is covered on all sides with the incase. The smart cover is just on the top. It has a nice look but no protection to the back.

I got an iPad and went to wal- mart for a case. I've since threw out the packaging, but the brand name is Speck ( that's what is etched in the front of the cover). The back is hard, and the iPad snaps into it. I preferred that to being held on by magnets which many cases are. It folds all the way back, but also creates a stand. So far it's been very sturdy. Cost around $25.

For xmas SANTA brought an IPAD 2 and angry birds hard case for it !! It was a shared gift between my 6 children (17,13,10,9,6,4). So far it seems to be great !!! I set the rule that my 4 and 6 yr olds can not walk around with it, BUT kids are kids and when it was dropped on the hardwood floors the case did it's job !!!

When you use one of those cases, do you buy a seperate screen protector too?

We got my daughter a case from gumdropcases.com. These cases are fully enclosed and great. They cost about $60. We also got a two year warrenty form square trade for $99. The warrenty cover up to three accidents in the two years with no deductable. This warrenty was much better then applecare, which doesn't cover cracked screens. I hope this helps.

OP - just in case you didn't realize, you have 2 threads going on this topic. I answered in the other one - and there are other different answers in that thread too.
