iPad charger for US?

Can anyone recommend an iPad charger for when we're in the us?

I will also be using it to charge my camera which is charged using a USB cable?

Was planning on getting the official travel adopter kit but if anyone has any recommendations for something cheaper, and I only specifically need the US charger rather than worldwide?

I need to know this too. I wasn't sure if it was safe to just plug the UK charger into an adapter plug. It's an expensive mistake if it goes wrong. Can you get a US one from the Apple shop?

All you need is One of these (or similar) and plug it in to the charger instead of the UK 3 pin plug.

We just used our UK chargers with a plug socket adapter. Worked for our 2 iPhones and iPad.

We take a 4 gang adapter along with a travel plug. This way we only have one plug in the American socket and can charge iPad, camera, hon etc at the same time
