ipad 2 Versus MacBook Air

I want to buy either one of these but the more I research them they seem to be one in the same. Am I wrong? What advantage (other than the keyboard) does the MB Air have over the ipad2?

No, they're not the same at all. The MacBook Air is a laptop. You can install software. You can get an add-on disc drive for CS. The iPad2 only uses apps. It uses the iPad/iPhone operating system (which means it cannot open Flash files).

Ask yourself- do I want to create? or consume?
If you want to write documents, save documents, make power points things like that -get the mac book

If you want some thing to consume media for example-
Watch movies, play games, quick email checks, listen to music
especially if you commute on a train or need it to entertain kids on a road trip -get the I-pad.

MacBook Air is a functional computer. It will have OS X and can run any software title a Mac will run because it is an actual laptop. You can have fash, java etc...

The iPad does not have the same features, but it is a lot cheaper.
