As Epcot D23 renovations begin what do you think of Epcot becoming more involved with IP. I am very exited that these changes are coming to epcot and that Ratatouille will be coming to France. I belive that Epcot the city would have failed and that in the 35 years that the park has been open the concept is dated. What do you think?

I don't think that IP coming to Epcot is necessarily a bad idea. The sponsored pavilions / rides model seems to have failed. The only logical direction for Disney is to gravitate towards a model where the attractions promote Disney's own properties, rather than promoting sponsoring companies.

I am fine with the idea, as long as the IP makes sense where they are putting it. To be honest, I'm not bothered by Frozen in Norway. It isn't a perfect fit, but it isn't awful. I would love to see coco in Mexico. I think that would be the perfect replacement for the Gran Fiesta Tour. Ratatouille in France is fine as well. I'm not 100% convinced about Guardians of the Galaxy going into the Universe of Energy. I would love to see Inside Out in the old Wonders of Life though!

Disney certainly has enough IP that it could do a wonderful job of adding attractions to Epcot without changing the original concept of the park.
