Hey guys!! I was reading about this treatment in the magical disney cruise guide and it sounds pretty darn interesting. In fact, a Reservation Agent at CRO mentioned it the other day too when I mentioned I was going on the Magic. She said she went from a size 24 to a 18 after this treatment. Sounds way too good to be true but I was interested to see if anyone else has tried it for the "detox" and how it worked out.

Thanks!

Size 24 to 18?
If it sounds too good to be true.........

I have done many of the spa treatments but not this particular one. I imagine you might lose some water weight inchs but going from a size 24 to 18 would take a lot more than just a spa treatment.

Hi Trampslady and the ever-lovely (((((((Rae))))))). My DS9 still believes in the tooth fairy. He's also pretty sure most of his X-mas presents come from Santa. The dear lad even realizes miracles are difficult but not impossible. And after his first cruise with daddy, my DS9 knows how ludicrous this "weight-reduction" treatment actually is. Better to watch your diet, exercise and treat yourself to a masage and/or facial.

Save your money. There are much better "bridges" you can buy. lol.

All the best.

Hi Buckaroo's Dad!
Glad you haven't fallen off the face of the earth! I can't imagine anyone "losing weight" on a cruise! My darling 74 year old Mom is thin by all standards, YET she is determined to lose 5 lbs before our next cruise so she can be in "dessert heaven". Between diet and exercise, she looks 50 and acts 30! Gotta love a "mama" like that!

Love to DS and a cyber hug back at'cha!

I did this on my cruise and was not that impressed. If it could really bring you down a size or two I would happily cough up three times as much money than they ask. The problem is, it doesn't. I went in a size 14 and left a size 14.

The thing I liked best was once you get used to the electric current zapping your body it does feel rather relaxing. However, just when you are about to really enjoy this sensation the sweet little girl proceeds to give you a seminar on "Cellulite 101" and how it is formed and yada, yada, yada (don't care, for $144.00 let me relax and enjoy). Then after that (while my treatment is still going on) she proceeded to offer me products to keep off the cellulite that totaled to over $700.00. And that was for a 12 day supply. I just bursted out in laughter. I didn't mean to be rude but I couldn't help myself, it just came out:eek:. I apoligized and said "No Thankyou". However, I did think it inappropriate to give the 10 minute sales pitch on my time as it were.

According to her measurements I lost 2 1/2" total. I did not feel any different in my clothes(and that's what mattered to me). I did this treatment on the reccomendation from someone else who had a wonderful experience and felt the difference in her clothes immediately so who knows. Maybe it is just different for each body.

Just a plug for a positive experience I did have. I am a person who has emmense trouble sleeping on vacation. I have to be in my own bed I guess. I tryed the Relaxation Capsule and this, for me, is the best thing since chocolate cake.

I had this once, on one of our first Disney crusies, as a "demo person." The person who was supposed to do it didn't show up, and since I was first in line, when they asked for volunteers I was right there! They didn't measure me, since it was a freebie, but afterwards I didn't notice a difference. Instead of this one, I HIGHLY recommend the seaweed wrap/massage. I really do feel detoxified after that treatment, and it is sooooo relaxing. I convinced hubby to try it on our three-peat, and now he is addicted too. They have a mixture for cellulite, one for relaxation, and one to relax your muscles...you get to pick (I do relaxation and hubby does muscles, which is tingly like his favorite Refreshing Gel that he buys on the ship).

Hi Magiroux. You can get a similar "electrical zap" feeling from the Fast Abs product and it only rips you off for about $50! I didn't particularly enjoy immersing my rear end in a trough of sludge while electrical charges made my stomach look like a lake with 1000 kids skimming stones across it. I think my "therapist" gave me a similar $700+ offer. They didn't have enough electrical current coming into my room at the spa to "enourage" me to say "yes" to that offer...

Hey, Rae! My DM65++ doesn't diet in order to enter "dessert heaven." She just washes it all down with diet soda...

Diet soda?! Now that's a good one - like eating a Snickers with Diet Coke, huh?! Okay, Buckaroo's Dad - I got it!!!! Not into electroshock therapy, ehhh?

I agree with the comment about too much talking and sales pitching during the treatment. I come there to hear my own thoughts for a change - a rare occurance.

I do like the sea weed wrap and massage and the capsule a lot. AND the Instant Refreshing Gel is one of my favorites!

I did this treatment on my last cruise and I enjoyed it. I did lose inches and my clothes were looser - not a size looser tho. What I did notice after a few days was that the cellulite bumps on my upper legs were much less and my skin was smoother and tighter.

So I was happy with the results. I'll do it again, next year.

I've got to get the counter thingy - We are about 225 days to our next cruise :-)

I did this treatment on our cruise earlier this month and I enjoyed it also. I did loose inches and my clothes were a little loser and I didn't gain any weight at all on the cruise even though I ate like a pig and had plenty of deserts. Even after being home a little over a week I still feel more toned and ny clothes still fit a little looser. I did buy some of the products (I hate to admit it but I did spend about $400.00) that she talked about during the treatment and I have been using them so maybe that's whats helping too or maybe it's all in my head after spending the money LOL. However if I can go on a cruise and not exercise other than taking the stairs to get where we're going on the ship and walking around in the different ports to shop and eat the way I did and get off the ship not gaining a pound and having my clothes even just slightly looser it was worth it to me. Maybe this treatment works better for some than it does for others just like different diets work better for some people than others and different exercise programs work better for some than others.
