Hello:
Our family is going to IOA on Thursday, June 14. We are planning to go to Harry Potter for the adults first, but then are kind of up in the air. I definitely want to take the kids (DD 5 and DD7) to Seuss area, but my daughters are also excited about the pterdon flyers. Do they get busy? What would you suggest we do right after HP?
Thanks!

Pteranadon Flyers gets a long line really quickly because it is such a low capacity ride. I suggest riding it as early in the day as you can.

The main issue with PF is that it has very little capacity, so the lines for it get long quickly and stay that way. If your kids have any interest in it, I recommend getting on it as early in the morning as possible. I would save Seuss Landing for after PF.

ETA: great minds at the same time again....

I agree with the other 2 posters..We were there in Jan and the line for the Pteranodon flyers was LONGER than Forbidden Journey and pretty much stayed that way the WHOLE day. They don't even let you ride unless you are with a child that is within the height requirement.

As a follow-up question, is it still the case that they don't impose the maximum height limit until after a certain time. We have still never ridden PF and now my DS is too tall so we won't have a chance unless we can get away with going early one morning before they impose the rule (if they still allow that)

They weren't enforcing it first thing in the morning when we went. They started enforcing it when the wait time reached 30+ mins , we checked back around lunch ( it was after 11am) and they were starting to enforce it

Thank you :)

This ride frustrates me. Of all the times we have been to IOA/US, we could only ride ONCE! Either my kids were too little, and now my oldest, who is 11, and tall, cannot ride. So during our last visit in Oct 2011, he was too tall to ride, we would have all had to take turns riding with our 8 yr old, lol

The one time we were able to ride, it was very cool! I am about to start paying people so I can ride with their kids :rotfl:

We are a family of three, so DS gets to ride it with his choice of parent, LOL. The other parent gets to watch the madness at the height-checker. I have lots of empathy for TMs, but the MOST empathy for the height checking TMs at this ride!

After watching the height madness, we're about to start charging rent for DS so people can ride it! :) Especially when it's my turn to ride, since that ride scared me more than Rip Ride Rockit and Dragon Challenge combined.
