I am petrified of roller costers. is there more to IOA then just costers. I love US so can someone who has done both please give me some imput on IOA. TIA :D

There are only 3 true rollercoasters in the park (and 1 kiddie coaster)

There IS SO MUCH more to do than just rollercoasters, so don't even think that!

I'm sure if you read the trip reports and the IOA sites, you'll see what I mean ;)

I didn't ride any coasters and I really enjoyed IOA. It was worth going to just for the theming IMO. Be sure to walk through the Dueling Dragons queue. The whole area is just amazing.

Spiderman is also worth a visit all by itself. I'm guessing that you enjoy simulators since you like Universal. Spiderman blows the other simulators away since it's really so much more.

Thanks for the help. I am going to be staying for one night at HRH so that day i am saving front of the line for that. I am driving from Disney to go on the 7th, I won't have front of the line for IOA but that is OK, now I am excited about going.

GailTAGAIN,
If you are staying one night at HRH you will have TWO days of express access. It's good the enitre day of check in and the entire day of check out.

I'll still go in there on the morning ofmy departure but I have to be at the airport by 2pm. I wish I could of gotten a later plane but both me and my son have to be in work on Thursday so I'll maybe do a half of a day. I like that way they do things, so far I am looking foward more to go to US and IOA then Disney.:D

Not trying to start a flame fest, as I am new here, but what about IOA and US is more appealing than Disney to you?

First of all I got every yr. and as an adult I am getting bored with it not to mention discusted. the prices are high and just don't seem worth it to stay right in the park anymore, the hrs., Holy toledo, that to put it bluntly suck, 7am MK 6 WS in Epcot, 6 (that is carzy) and 9 at WS. Oh but lets not forget we can pay extra to get E-nights, Yep, just what I want. I buy annual passes and still pay money to go there at night and to boot the way the world is I don't want to cause there aren't that many people around and the lighting is scarce, nothing open to buy food, it is a joke, a money making joke. :D

Your sentences started to run together, so it was hard to understand all of it, but I think I get the important points. Disney has shorter hours than Universal? Last time I was at IOA, it closed before Magic Kingdom did, and this was at the end of July in 2002.

I think they, at best, complement each other, and I could not, personally, imagine only going to Universal.

Sorry about my sentences running, when I get all worked up I just babble. I guess I am just in the mood after this trip to see other parts of the country, so much to see that I take for granted. Mickey will always be my first love but like anything else after this I think it is time to move on:D

I felt the same way Gail. I needed something different and the Universal parks definitely worked well for me. WDW has gone downhill IMO and I feel a bit disinterested lately. Plus DS is at the age where he's ready for more excitement.

We'll always go back to WDW but I think that we're ready now to expand our horizons. A break from WDW should help to get us more interested again (I hope).
