Can we get park tickets to IOA for the day then go to US for HHN?

We are staying at the HRH. We thought we'd use our day tickets to check out IOA and then leave say around 4 and be ready to enter the hotel early entrance for HHN.
This way we would save on park to park ticket and still see some of both parks.

if you don't have park to park tickets that day, you would not be able to go over to the studios side around 4 (as you mentioned above)and enter the park.

the one day tickets are valid for one park only.
the one day 2 park tickets allows you to hop to the other park anytime that day.

if you go to ioa and you have the hhn ticket, you need to stand in line at the gate outside of the studios and wait until 6:30 when the park opens for hhn.

but, by staying on site, you could use the hotel gate to enter the park between 6-8 that evening.
you wouldn't be able to see anything in the park at that time but then you wouldn't have to stand in the regular line to enter for hhn.

How long would it take us to get from IOA to US for HHN. I think we will save our money and not get the park to park tickets. I think we'd spend out day at IOA then make our way over to be ready to enter the hotel gate a 6pm for HHN.
We will be staying at one of the park hotels that night.

If you're going that route, make sure you look for the special sign outside the Studios gate for hotel guests. It's over on the right side as you look at the gates. I imagine there will be a line for that entrance so you might want to get there around 5:45 instead of waiting until 6pm.

Yeah! I'm thinking our plan is going to be stay a IOA until early afternoon then head to HRH, freshen up. Maybe eat something and be at the gate at 5.45.
Where would be a good place to eat and maybe get a couple of adult beverages before heading to the gate?

This is our first time going to the dark side. So, I'm not sure what is around.
Thanks Leeo

Anywhere in CityWalk but I wouldn't spend too much time on eating and/or drinking before HHN. There are plenty of places inside the Studios open for dinner and beverage carts sell alcoholic beverages all over the place. The main thing is to get inside the park...then settle down to eat when you need a break.

Metro gave you great advice.
many of us have been to hhn and know how long the lines become.

grab a sandwich from Blondies or Confisco Grille on the way out of ioa.
eat it while you are waiting in line for the hotel guest entrance at 5:45.

your main goal is to be able to enter the park at 6:00.
