hey,

Just wondering if I'm missing something. Is it correct that the new Harry Potter section really only has one new ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey? And what kind of ride is it? Does it use simulators like Star Tours or Simpsons?

I think the other rides are Dragon Challenge a revamp of the old Dueling Dragons, and the little family roller coaster that I can't remember the old name of right now, but it's new name is Flight of the Hippogriff. Are there any others?

Other than shops and the new dining room what else am I missing from the HP area?

And we're staying offsite so no FOTL like last time. I know we go to Harry Potter first. Then do you think we should go to Hulk? Any other advice?

Thanks!

:)

The ambiance and utter coolness of being in Hogsmeade. :goodvibes

And yes, FJ is the only newly built ride in the area.

The entire area was rebuilt (other than the kitchen for Three Broomsticks, the coaster part of Dueling Dragons and Flying Unicorn).

The theming is amazing. Forbidden Journey is a ride as well as a tour of Hogwarts. The ride consists of 4 seats at the end of a robotic arm that takes you rooms with a simulated quidditch game and animatronic scenes of dementors, spiders, the whomping willow, dragons, etc.

The coasters have been rethemed. It is well worth visiting.

.

How much of the ride is a simulator? My dd gets sick on Spiderman, Simpsons, Star Tours, etc.

The whole area is wonderfully themed and decorated. We spent almost 5 hours just in that area, walking around and looking in all the windows and little nooks. The wait for FJ was only 20 minutes, so it was nice to get in and do that fast. We went into every shop, which are also themed besides the products. If you buy post cards, there is a spot right outside the broomstick store where you can get them post marked with the Hogsmeade stamp. Just little things like that.
