We've been to IOA tiwce and both times had lunch at the Enchanted Oak. Great themeing, good food, very large portions, and Merlin came around to our table both times (2 years apart) which was treat for the kids.
Same here. One lunch and one dinner at Mythos in IOA -my FAVORITE!
YOu don't say if you have children. They would probably like the Hard Rock Cafe at City Walk. We also really like the Latin Quarter in City Walk. We enjoyed a couple wonderful lunches at Lombards Landing in US. We weren't thrilled with Margaritaville, but others seem to like it a lot.
I personally liked Confiscos at IOA, but my parents didn't like the amount you got for your money...at least with what we got, I guess. I thought I, at least, had plenty. Nothing special about the atmosphere though. I thought the food was good.
My parents love La Bamba Cafe at US. They sometimes share a meal. They have burgers and rotisserie chicken and fries and key lime pie slices...a nice cafe. Hard to find a table sometimes, though.
I LOVE Hard Rock Cafe! Yum! Awesome atmosphere, though a bit noisy (which I personally didnt mind). Great food, great employees who get really "into" their job.
Definitely Mythos. The atomsphere itself is so inviting. Also NBA City. When I asked, many people said it wasn't that great, but my family loved it. Also the hard rock. And I wanted to add,
Thunder Falls Terrace at IOA. They have the best dishes with large portions.
I had rice, beans, chicken ribs, and corn. That was included in my meal for under $10.

Just thought I'd let you know that I just joined. Took your advice! I figured anything I can do to help me not have to battle the crowds as much will help.
If anyone else has any little tid bits of info such as the one Pat gave me, please let me know. I'm going at probably the worse time of year, so any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Julie,
Are you staying at one of the onsite hotels? If so, then you get next available seating at all the restaurants but Emerils by showing your room key.
Would like to say. Enchanted Oak Tavern is a grreat place to indulge on BBQ ribs & Libations during a Sat. NCAA game and a Sun. NFL day. (see Alchemy Bar)
Watch a lil' game, ride a lil' Dueling Dragons, etc...

No, we're not staying onsite. We own timeshare and had a week that we needed to use. We will be staying at Orange Lake Country Club and renting a car to get around.
