Anyone know what the appropriate time frame is for sending invitations? The ceremony isn't until May, but I want to make sure that all our friends and family get it on their calendars in plenty of time.

We lived in Mesa, AZ when we planned our Disney wedding!

We sent our actual invitations out about 3 months before the wedding. Prior to that Disney did their save the date letters. We followed those within a couple days with a letter we put together that had information for those not as familiar with Disney as we were, including books to look for, a basic plan of the weekend and gave them contact numbers for DH and I and my parents so they could call with any questions or concerns.

Right before we left we contacted the guests who were coming and gave a more detailed itinerary, where we would be and when, along with the Rehersal information and dinner that followed. At the dinner (everyone was there) we told them about the bus, and what time and where it would pick up at each of the resorts people were staying at.

It helped, we did get lots of calls and emails from friends and family leading up to the wedding.

My wedding is Oct..I sent my invites out at the end of May with a reply date of June 18...

Well I had sent out Save the Dates before Disney did and then I sent a newsletter every month until finally in March I sent out invitations for our May wedding to be honest I only sent invites to those who had already indicated to us that they would be attending so I only gave them 4 weeks to RSVP which was by the latest 4 weeks before the wedding.

We sent out invitations on April 14th, with an RSVP date of May 20th, for our June 25th wedding. The original plan was to send them April 1st, with an RSVP date of May 15th, which would have given me more time to track down the delinquent RSVPs before we had to pay Disney, but we had issues with the invitation so it got pushed back. I would send them whenever you feel comfortable. Once people have the save the dates from Disney, you'll start to get a pretty good idea of who will be coming and who will not anyway. I used that feed back to help with the budgeting, and we were very close to what the count ended up being.
