Invitations?

I got a scroll invite one, it was SO neat! It came in this little tube thing and I had no idea what it was. It was, hands down, the coolest invite I've ever received.

I realize this little side story doesn't help at all, I just want to encourage you to go for it. :goodvibes

we had the boxes custom made along with the rods for the scrolls to be rolled on. My husband then bought some cotton paper that was like old fashioned paper and he was able to print on. He padded the inside of the boxes with foam and covered them with silk cloth. He then just printed our wording on the paper and then attached it to the rods. He then used a ribon to keep it tied together. He bought some mickey mouse confetti which he sprinkled inside so that when our guests opened it, the confetti would fall out.

He also got our name engraved on the front with the boxes. Our guests were amazed when they received them, we had a pre wedding party to hand out the invitations as obviously they would have been too heavy to put in the post.

Each one cost approximatley $45 to make, but we only had an intimate wedding so it was well worth it and they are good keepsakes as well.

I was really proud of him the end result was fantasmic.

I'm doing scroll wedding invitations. I go the idea from angry penguin's PJ.

That's the site I'm getting them from. Very reasonalbe prices and they let you send them font and pictures so the invite is completely what you want. I ordered a sample and it came pretty quickly.

I just wanted to thank you for your story! It makes me excited for when my guests get their invites!

thanks for all the responses ! It kind of sounds like it'll be cheaper to buy them from there! THANKS!

How do you mail those?

I haven't gotten that far yet!!! The company includes a little box (cheaply made but it does the job and looks nice) the scroll goes into and then an envelope the box goes into that you could affix postage and address labels on. They also offer calligraphy to address the envelopes.
