This invitation business drives me crazy! Those of you that have had invitations for an at home reception - I changed the wording to announce that the party is for announcing our marriage - but did anyone else manipulate the response card for the guests to record which meal they want? I figured I could leave the M_____________ will be attending thing, but also add the two meals for each person to check their choice? At this point I feel like saying, "You are getting chicken," and be finished with it! :-)

i have received many invites in the past like that. The common wording was:

Please select your choice of entree:

_____ Chicken

_____ Beef

_____ Fish

or whatever you are having. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

DisneyJenny- You are SO KIND!! Haha... we had BBQ and Hot dogs... if peopel didnt like Pork they were just SOL!! So kind of you to give people a choice :thumbsup2 !! I, on the other hand, was less considerate.

I would say "you are getting chicken, like it or lump it"... but- you are probobly nicer than me :) Good Luck!

I'm glad I'm not the only one going nuts with this at home reception invite situation... argh.... we don't even have the invites yet and the reception is in 2 months... HAHAHAHAHA!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: I have to laugh, or else I'd go mad... at least we're not paying for this one...;)

Mine don't go out until May and I going crazy! My FMIL is buying them so she wants to get them out of the way, which is fine with me. BUT, it is too many decisions all at once! Planning a wedding is quite stressful!
