Hi

We are going to Disneyland Paris on 14th Feb for 5 nights and was wondering what peoples thoughts were on either having a character meal at Cafe Mickey or going to Inventions to see the characters? My wee boy is 5 and girl 2 so not sure what would be best for them.

I'm aware Inventions is quite expensive but I'm happy to pay that if its worth the money and better than Cafe Mickey. Also does anyone know how much wine/cocktails are in inventions, are they really expensive?

Also torn between having a meal in The Blue Lagoon or Rainforest Cafe? Got Buffallo Bills booked for one night so thats one meal sorted already and was thinking eating in our hotel the Cheyenne one night and maybe Planet Hollywood as we've got the dis

Thanks!

Inventions is good but (in my opinion) it's not worth the money unless you're a big eater. We normally only eat on course in a restaurant so we struggle to justify the cost.

We love Cafe Mickey and would chose it every time. I also prefer the character interaction in Cafe Mickey.

Blue Lagoon is nice but the menu is a bit different! Doesn't really cater that well for everyone so check it before you go. Rainforest is fun but I don't think the food is that great in there (especially for the price).

Never been a fan of Planet Hollywood. The tables are too close together and it's not that interesting inside. The food is pretty average.

I notice you've not mentioned Anette's so I will! For me it's the best restaurant in the resort. The burgers are perfect. You can get a meal for €18 which includes a burger, drink and a chocolate brownie dessert. Great value (for Disney!).

I love both those restaurants but with very young children I would choose Cafe Mickey (just asked my girls and they both said Cafe Mickey). Have to agree with last poster Annttes is fantastic with a great atmosphere too! We always have a meal in Blue Lagoon it is on our top 3 list along with Walts which my girls adore!

Having 5 nights you have enough time to try them all!!!

Hope you have a ball!

I would vote for Inventions, we had a fantastic meal there three weeks ago. We certainly ate our moneys worth in langoustines alone! The kids loved the buffet and the wide variety of fruit that they tried was brilliant, passion fruit, lychees, star fruit. Our kids also prefer buffets.

In our opinion the character interaction was better than Cafe Mickeys, it was quieter so they spent more time with us. Also they had a very organised way of going round so as not to miss anyone out, they also came round at least twice, when we were there.

We found when we went to C Mickey that other kids would go up to the characters even when they were at our table and it is alot harder for the characters to go round all the tables and one family were complaining that they had been missed out altogether!
At Inventions if other children came up to the characters they gently pointed the child back to their table.

I would vote for Inventions. All of my family enjoy the buffet there esp the langoustines ;)

I would agree that the character interaction is just a wee bit more personnal.

I don't know how much wine or cocktails are but I did have a gasp when I ordered 2 large beers, a sprite and an apple juice and the bill was E24.95  so expect to pay a wee bit more

I enjoy both but my favourite of the two is Inventions. As your DD is only 2 you wouldn't have to pay for her food there which will help keep costs down a little whereas at Cafe Mickey there will be a charge for whatever she has off the menu.
