We arrive on a sunday at about 1.30 so cannot do the inventions brunch with characters. If i do the dinner, which day will be quietest?

What foods do they do? Does anyone have any links to pics (as couldnt really tell from trip advisor pics)

What characters are you more likely to see and how many can you guarentee to see whilst you eat?

Is it ACTUALLY worth the price?

Can i use my halfboard standard vouchers and pay the difference? Do i have to do this on the day or can I pay for it in advance through a phone call with disney?

How much are drinks on top? I.E the cocktails (and mocktails)

All these questions! I want to make the most of disney when we go, partner said any future trips will all depend on what he thinks when we go.

Also is blue lagoon only fish?
None of us in the family particularly like it; can we go in for just a drink or a dessert?

The Blue Lagoon has more than fish on the menu, it has chicken and steak among other non fish dishes.

I have eaten here 3 times and found the food delicious and I hate fish dishes too lol.

Hello there!!!

You've just mentioned my two favourite restaurants in the entire resort :cutie: :lovestruc :cloud9:

I will try to answer your questions as much as I can below:-

We arrive on a sunday at about 1.30 so cannot do the inventions brunch with characters. If i do the dinner, which day will be quietest?

It depends on how long you're staying there, but with all things in the resort, Tuesday-Thursdays are the quieter days, but with regards to dinner - it shouldn't make too much difference as you will need to reserve in advance regardless for Inventions (unless it's unusually quiet)

What foods do they do? Does anyone have any links to pics (as couldnt really tell from trip advisor pics)

Foodwise it is a buffet, and a blooming marvellous one at that! You have all the starters you could possibly wish for (cold meats, salads, shellfish, cheese, bread, etc) - for the mains you have a chef standing by the meat of the day and he will carve this for you, this is accompanied by a variety of mash / potato gratin (my absolute favourite) / lamb shanks / lasagne / spagetti / beef / potato waffles / chips / pretty much anything you would expect to see at a gourmet dinner buffet - then for dessert, well - you're in France, you can imagine the delights you may see - all kinds of gateaux, pastries, jellies and delights await you!

What characters are you more likely to see and how many can you guarentee to see whilst you eat?

The characters you see are never guarenteed and will vary from day-to-day. You can usually bank on seeing Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald... then you get a few random appearances from all kinds of characters like Tigger, Eeyore, Suzy, Perla, Gideon, Pinocchio, Gepetto, Rabbit, Hook, Smee, Stitch... it really does vary. I would say that you can meet around 6 different characters, sometimes upto 8 different characters! :cutie:

Is it ACTUALLY worth the price?

In my personal opinion - ABSOLUTELY! Me and my partner always eat there. It suits both of our taste-buds, the food is fresh, delicious and plentiful, you certainly will NOT leave there hungry as you can return for as much as you want to eat!! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and you are treated like Royalty from the moment you take your seat. The character interaction is fantastic and magical. :cloud9:

Can i use my halfboard standard vouchers and pay the difference? Do i have to do this on the day or can I pay for it in advance through a phone call with disney?

I have never used the vouchers myself so I am not too sure how this works, somebody else may be able to help here... You cannot pay in advance however (as far as I am aware).

How much are drinks on top? I.E the cocktails (and mocktails)

This all depends on what you're drinking. Again, for me and my partner - we will buy a bottle of wine and that will be plenty for us. The price of wine varies but isn't overly different from prices you would find in London restaurants.

All these questions! I want to make the most of disney when we go, partner said any future trips will all depend on what he thinks when we go.

Also is blue lagoon only fish?

Blue Lagoon specialises in Fish, however there is alternatives on the menu. My partner's favourite dish in here is the Chicken Curry, just to give you an example.

I hope this helps? :goodvibes

Is there any day from peoples past visits that there are more characters present? And when booking a reservation, can I specifically ask for a table by the window - or do I have to give the table number??

Having to show partner everything I am panning - hes such a cynic.

Also with blue lagoon is it just a walk in or do you have to book a table (even if we only want a dessert/cocktail) And again can we ask for a table closest to the ride or is it be happy with what you're given mentality?

Thank you for the replies!
