Inventions/California Grill, also Pooh Bear question

Hi there,

Its our first trip in a couple of weeks and after much umming and ahhing due to the cost I have booked a table at Inventions in the evening. I was told that my reservation was fine but that the Inventions restaurant would be closed and that it would be in the California Grill restaurant instead. The buffet and the characters will be as usual, but all in a different location.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it a good thing, bad thing, or does it not make much difference?

Also, my two girls are 2 and 4 and very keen on Pooh Bear and friends. Are we likely to see any of these characters (either in the Main Park or the restaurant), or is there anything special for fans of Pooh Bear? I think there used to be a show but not any more?

We met Pooh on organized meet'n'greet in park, in Main st. USA. It was around 30min wait.

When we went to California Grill Innventions was closed so the characters were in there. I didnt see a buffet but the character interaction was good I had Tigger sit at the table with me and offer to feed me lol also saw Chip'n'Dale Mickey Minnie Goofy and Friar Tuck! Ask for a table with a window a lovely view of main street!

Like Isila said there is an organized meet'n'greet on Main Street near Casey's

On all our previous visits we have always found lots of opportunities with Tigger and Eyeore. I have wonderful pictures of the Winne the Pooh clan )

Just tried to book Inventions tonight for the 31st Jan in the evening. Was told that Inventions is closed and CG was NOT having characters and was just the usual CG (very expensive) table menu.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case please?

If the restaurant reservations line have confirmed this too you I'd guess that it would be correct.

There is maybe an event going on that evening and the characters are there ?

What did they say was the reason

Hi, I just phoned the reservation line again to check this and was assured that there WILL be the buffet and there WILL be the characters, its just the location thats changed.

Btw I booked for the 31st too.

They said it was shut for refurbishment.

I just rang and booked for the Character Dinner for next wednesday(1st) and was told it would be held in the California Grill, same set up as Inventions.

I would definately ring again, very often with customer service in France (Ive lived here for 7 years) you get one person saying one thing and another one saying the other, it just depends who you speak to!

I will be ringing again too just to triple check, but its reassuring that Elibax had the same info as me
